This pendant represents a powerful moment of experiencing a heartbreaking moral dilemma. The Garnet stone to the right is inlaid in Abraham's head, as if his face is turning aside, not to watch what he himself is about to do. One hand of his is holding the knife, while the other is holding the hand of Isaac, his beloved son, lying down on the altar, and about to be slayed by his own father.
Abraham is about to prove his faith to God by paying the highest price, but the Blue Topaz Stone on top, with the arm descending from it, both representing the divinity - are stopping the act from happening. Under the arm's elbow, the ram appears. It will be sacrificed by Abraham instead of his son. In the next verses Abraham, and his descendants, will be blessed by the Angel of the Lord for his obedience.
