In his dream, king Solomon was asked by God what would he like to be given. Solomon had asked for an understanding heart to judge the people and to be able to discern between good and evil. God was pleased with his answer and gave Solomon what he asked for, blessing him to be the wisest man on earth. A little later, the king had to judge between two mothers of babies. One of the babies died and both claimed to be the mother of the living one.

So the king asked for a sword to be brought, and ordered to cut the baby and to give a half of him to each. The real mother's compassion for her son made her stop the act and ask the king to give the baby to the other woman but not to kill him. This is how Solomon knew who the real mother was, and he gave the baby back to her.

This famous story is written in 1 Kings 3, 16-28.

The King is in the upper left side of the pendant, stopping the man to the upper right with a sword in his hands already raised up in order to cut the baby, who is lying down in the middle part. Solomon is also pointing towards the real mother down to the left, who herself is signaling the sword holder to stop. She is also pointing to the other woman in the lower right side, as if she was the real mother.

The red stone on top symbolizes the wisdom to stop, to think and to find a solution. The green stone represents the right action to be taken after solving the problematic issue.
